Has anybody a link to a chart showing equivalent ppm TDS (total dissolved solids) readings as relative density values.
For those who are confused, if you get a suitable hydrometer it can tell you the TDS of your coffee. Water has a relative density of 1, if you float a hydrometer in it it will...
Has anybody got a source for TDS (total dissolved solids) calibration fluids?
I can find bulk bottles of 1200ppm for use in hydroponics, but I have read I should be using fluid for salts usually found in coffee. Has anybody a good cheap source for suitable coffee calibration fluid. (or does...
I am looking for an insulated urn, stainless steel lined with a level gauge/sightglass. Has to be portable with handles and hold about 6-8L, preferable on a stand so I could fill jugs out of it. Has to be easy to clean and have very good insulation properties. Preferably cheap too!
Any ideas?
I have seen some commercial machines promoting "pulse brewing" as though it is advantageous to the coffee. It seems to me to simply be a cheap alternative to proper flow control.
Some machines have their water gravity fed to a sprayhead (rather than pumped or flow controlled), these machines...
