If I were to use a conical burr grinder, should all the grounds be of uniform size and shape ? What if the output had "shards" of coffee bean as well as grounds ?
I realize the majority of you guys are professional roasters. Has anyone here used a Fresh Roast Plus 8 ? I'd like to get some inout from your experience.

I'm a newbie home roaster, using a Fresh Roast Plus 8. After I complete my roast, I notice that the beans still have some chaff stuck in the crevice.
Should this chaff be removed ? will it affect the taste of the coffee beans once they are ground?

I read all about the wet and dry processes of removing the cherry from the beans. I've just been wondering, does anyone know if the cherries have ever been used as food ?
