I would add to not store it in the refrigerator or freezer. It would fare better at room temperature and dry than cold where it could be exposed to food smells and moisture. You didn't ask, but also drink it as soon as possible if it's ground. Whole beans will keep for awhile but ground coffee...
Green coffee beans contain a substance called chlorogenic acid (its destroyed when green beans are roasted to remove the bitter taste). In principle chlorogenic acid stops enzymes in the body from making 'fat'. So, assuming it worked as advertised it would be more useful in preventing weight...
Like everything it depends on multiple factors if something is healthy.
Coffee has some great upsides but some downsides too. Sure thing: you can only enjoy the benefits of coffee if the beans are freshly grinded. If you're searching for a healthy bean make sure it's organic.
