    New brewing process: BLOOM BREW

Lol. I will be the judge of that. I threw my French press out because I am not completely sure the oils that sit on top of your brewed coffee(from the press) are good for you. I know a friend who switched to filtered coffee and his cholesterol dropped considerably. I will try and pick one up...

    New brewing process: BLOOM BREW

Cold brew can be over-extracted. It is from too fine a grind or from soaking too long. If it works for you keep it up. That being said, I can't imagine it not being over-extracted. Maybe you like over-extracted coffee.

    New guy here

That is gorgeous. I roasted on one 25 years or so ago and loved it. I don't see a trier. How do you check your coffee during your roasts? I had a wee whole cut and added a little "metal flap" in the top door. I would attach a s/s funnel and pour the coffee through that. I then used a small...

What is the Best Coffee Maker with a Thermal Carafe?

One of my favorite brewers right here. The issue with inexpensive brewers is that they do not have a great heating element in them. The water doesn't get hot enough and will not extract all the flavors. https://us.moccamaster.com/collections/thermal-carafe-brewers...

    Cold brew

Ok. So let's say you take a heavy-bodied coffee like Sumatra. You roast it to a french roast. The darker you roast the more acidity you roast out. Sumatra is low in acidity and roasting darker will boost the body. All body and no acidity to back it up makes for a mouth full of mud. Same...
